Quick answer
How does Wavefront help teachers find school roles?
Wavefront Home Tuition, a unit of Wavefront Creation, introduces qualified teachers to schools and education organisations that share teacher requirements with us. These opportunities are generally suited to educators looking for stable, longer-term teaching roles. After a short conversation about your subjects, experience and availability, we discuss suitable openings with you and share your profile with a school only with your agreement. The school runs its own interview and decides.
This is for you if
- You want a regular, longer-term teaching role in a school
- You are comfortable with full school hours and the school calendar
- You can attend interviews and a demo lesson at the school
- You can give accurate qualification, experience and availability details
- You are willing to complete the document and reference checks a school asks for
Tuition may suit you better if
- You only want a few hours a week or flexible evening work
- You are looking for short-term work for a month or two

Questions from teachers
Can Wavefront help me find a full-time school teaching job?
Wavefront can introduce suitable teachers to schools that share teacher requirements with us. Share your subjects, classes, qualifications, experience, current status and the cities you can work in. If a school opening fits, we discuss it with you and, with your agreement, share your profile with that school. The school interviews candidates and makes the final decision.
Does Wavefront guarantee a school job?
No. Openings depend on the schools we are working with at the time and on how well your profile fits them. The school decides whom to appoint. Wavefront does not promise a job, a salary or a joining date.
Who will be my employer?
The school that appoints you. Your salary, contract, working hours, leave and other terms are set by the school. Being introduced by Wavefront does not make you a Wavefront employee.
What will I be asked first?
Only the basics: subjects and classes, qualifications, teaching experience, whether you are working now and your notice period, expected salary and preferred school locations. Documents, references and declarations are requested later, and only when a suitable opening comes up.
Do I need a B.Ed or a TET?
Each school sets its own requirements. Many school roles ask for a relevant degree and a teaching qualification such as a B.Ed, and some ask for CTET or a state TET. Tell us exactly what you hold so we only discuss roles you are eligible for.
Can I also register for home or online tuition?
Yes, but it is a separate path. Tuition assignments are flexible and freelance. Register for them on the tutor registration page if you want both.
